Hawaiian History & Culture
Join us while we take a deeper dive into the vibrant history of Hawaii during our week on O’ahu. From its ancient beginnings and modern monarchy to colonization and eventual statehood, we will learn about the impacts on both the people and the Hawaiian environment. We will spend time visiting ancient sites, natural marvels, museums, and of course, plenty of time in the ocean. Hiking Diamond Head, the Pearl Harbor Museum, surf lessons, and a Luau are just a few of the adventures that await you on this trip. This is an active Winterim with plenty of walking and time in the ocean. Every student on the trip must be comfortable being in the ocean. We will be staying in yurt-style lodging that will have access to private bathrooms and showers.
